Simon Clarke Awarded Life Membership
Simon Clarke began cycling at 10 during the Great Victorian Bike Ride and quickly developed a passion for the sport. By 13, he joined the Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club, achieving early successes including a medal at nationals. At 17, he was selected for the Australian Institute of Sport’s cycling program in Italy, leading to a junior world championship in 2004. Throughout his career, Simon has represented Australia at the Olympics (201, 2024) and achieved notable victories, including stage wins at the Vuelta a España and Tour de France. He also gives to the sport by volunteering at local events and mentoring young cyclists.
